That's good HRA!
take a look at this (translate before!)
http://sblive.narod.ru/ZX-Spectrum/V9938/V9938.htm
Here I've found a signal and timing description of the v9938 chip made by a Russian that had synthetized the v9938 core.
Because some aspect of the vdp are unknown with regards the timings (for example: how many byte/scanline can fill a high speed fill command with sprites on at 60hz?), maybe it's a good idea to take a look....

The russian site seems to be a summary&translation of following page http://www.ohnaka.jp/wiki/wiki.cgi?page=%BB%F7%C8%F3VDP from Kunihiko Ohnaka from ESE-Artists factory, who wrote most part of the V9938 core used in the OCM/ESE-MSX
Kind regards,
Alex

Just a simple info: T80 sources have never been changed/improved up to now, correct?

Like your work.

KdL, does the new version properly build, convert, simulate (and whatever you want) emsx sources?

As there are hundreds of messages, don't know if it was asked before, but... would be it possible to add Scanline effect to video outfut, to don't see so big pixels when playing on a 20" TFT monitor? |

Easily. If you check the code, you'll find that there are two intensity levels for the vga display. Currently they can be selected, but no reason why they can't be alternated.

It is easy.
OCM today does the improvement change to VGA by outputting the same line twice.
If one of lines are darkened, the effect like the scanning line is achieved.
--------------
1chipMSX[KAI] development was restarted

Could you add a hotkey to switch it on and off? It would be a cool feature when we connect the OCM to large LCD displays |
