Here is a floppy disk drive emulator who works on every MSX with standard floppy connector (34 pins)
I made an awful video to show to you the result with Laydock on Philips 8280 :

I knew all of these projects. Let's say it's another one ( a French one) and it's an open project because you can build it yourself with the schematics on the above link.

Very good idea. That could be possible in the future (and it's easier to make a turboR cable for this interface than replacing drive with a PC one because you can adapt the pinout configuration by software)
At the moment, you must make a floppy image in the traditional way and drop it onto the software.
That's also the charm of this interface with a PC at hands. You take Disk manager for exemple, put files in the window, save and drop the dsk on the software. The files are ready to run on the MSX. |

@popolon33,
This is a very useful and interesting project , I like to build this thing, but the scheme (I mean the "SchemaHxCFloppyEmuSDCARD.jpg" are not very clear, if you know the developer, could you ask him to publish a more readable picture of the scheme?
I'm sure that a lot of the MSXusers will appreciate this. |

Unfortunately, there was a batch of 20 USB cards but no other batch is planned.
As for the DIY, i have a list with all the components but you must know that some are a little expensive, like the main FPGA.

The picture seems clear to me (when you click on it but i will ask the main developer (Jeff). If you want, you can go to the english board of the project and ask all the questions that you want. |

It's possible that it depend on my monitor that I can't read the values of the components, I'm using a laptop since my PC had a crash. |
