It's possible that it depend on my monitor that I can't read the values of the components, I'm using a laptop since my PC had a crash.

Problem solved.

Absolutely, i'm the MSX beta tester
All is working perfectly with the NMS8280 and the HBF700
Next step with the non standard SVI738 and TurboR...

Perfectly? Does it emulate non-standard formatted floppies as well, then? (like 10 sectors per track, or 81 tracks instead of the regular 80)

This interface run non standard and protected floppies in others systems (like IPF on amiga) but concerning MSX, i don't know.
How could i test it ? with Symbos maybe ?
And what is the purpose to do this anyway ?

Erhm, being able to to play games that come with an non-standard formatted floppy, maybe? I've got a couple of those and trying to play those on an emulator fails on several levels till now:

1 - the PC drive cannot read the non-standard disk
2 - the .dsk format doesn't support non-standard formatting
(as a .dsk is just a direct dump of 2x80x9 sectors of 512 bytes (for a DS/DD 720kB floppy))
3 - the emulator doesn't support disk image files other than the just mentioned .dsk files.

So, I was just wondering...

First, you must find a way to dump these non standard floppies to PC because the interface, at this moment can only do transfert from PC to MSX (or whatever). Writing is planned in the future.

Did you try omniflop, it's an wonderful utility for accessing non standard floppies with a PC drive.

If the above software does not work for you, this is the disk drive I have:

By the way, I've just tried first disk of my original Wanderers from YS. As expected, I had to use /! command since last sector had the copy protection:

E:\Utils>copia720 a: test.dsk
Error leyendo el disquete

E:\Utils>copia720 a: test.dsk /!
Completado sin problemas

This was done under Windows XP, 32bits edition. I hope it will work for you too!
