Ok, so you have S1985. See this thread. In the first message is a link to japanese instructions on 512K memory upgrade for S1985, and follow up posts are attempts to make some sense out of it.
If you get any success, please share with us. |

Hello and welcome to MSX community !!!
It looks that you got a low-end MSX-2 model, but with some rarities. Models without disk drive are not appreciated outside Japan...
As per picture http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b40/estation/MSX/DSCN1892.jpg,
ROM size is 128K, but for regular MSX it should be 48K (without FDD).
Is there any firmware included? There should be some built-in utilities (text processor, scheduller, drawing...).
Have luck with the upgrades!

dhau -Wow. That babelfish "Engrish" translation is a bit of a pain to read. I'll try to make heads or tails of it, but I don't know much about memory addressing. I can take a look at the schematic though. That's a much nicer ASCII one you made down below.
mohai/manuel - There are a bunch of built-in utilities. I also got this one cart & have no idea what it is. It has a light blue label with white text "db-Soft" and has what looks like a Transformer firing a gun on it. Any ideas?
