Well it's going very well...
I've almost finished the final tool needed, it's the Ultimate Screen 2 gfx designer !
some features:
- Full drawing freedom
- See through effect. So you can your previous drawings through your current one. Excellent for animations.
- Optimized for tablet style-drawing (our lead Artist JUlian uses this alot !)
- Tilemanagement, multiple banks of 32x24
- Modelmanagement (modelling the tiles to create tile animations)
- Generate screen 2 tile-gfx from any type of (PC)-graphics. Including animations
The last one also uses an advanced color-matching algorithm to map the colors of the bitmap gfx to the 16 msx-colors !
It works surprisingly well ...
some screens:

JUlian (the main Artist) has already begun the game graphics with this tool...
renZO (the music composer) has already finished some tunes for the game...
And I (RYan, the lead programmer) am programming away....
so we're getting there...bit by bit....I think we'll finish the game way before the deadline... |

Anyway Vampier, since you seem very concerned with people who appear to be all talk and no show, I guess it's safe to assume you are very curious about the progress of his project as well?

still alive...
just became father again..so had little time for anything else.
status of the project(s):
at the moment I have two (almost finished) versions of Raziëls Revenge. a msx 1 version and a msx 2 version.
the msx 1 version lacks some music at the final levels and has a few minor enemy AI *bugs*
the msx 2 version still has some *bugs* mostly lagging(VDP copies) so here probably I need to do some redesigning of some core parts
and the newest project I'm working on is a hardware project which at the moment takes up all my spare time.
it's a all-in-one-cartridge(dont have a name yet?) which has 4 processors running at 32mhz each (fetch and execute 1cycle) which handle things like USB,math ,mem blitter, sound(multichannel 16bit wave and also scc emulation) and video display unit(memory mapped access,framebuffering,4096 colors 4planes 128sprites,hw flipxy,no limit to sprites on a row)
It's all in a very premature state. scattered over 4 prototype boards.
I just wanted to see if I could do it. The actual goal is to run arcade(MAME) games on the MSX with minimalistic conversion effort
soo you see I'm pretty MSX-busy...still a one man team... still just a hobby so I have to make a choice in what I want to do most with the little spare time I have.

Err.. so, you're creating a small PC/Amiga-in-a-cartridge which uses the MSX as power supply unit?

msx z80 still controls the hardware...and runs the main code
you just don't need separate cartridges for handling sound/gfx/usb
it can all be on one !
but the amiga was in the back of my mind when designing this hardware.
