Starship Rendezvous +6 Trainer IPS Patch

Ah, Starship Rendezvous... A lot of us may still have fond memories of this weird little adult game, as has been demonstrated in the past. Is it the naughty but craftily drawn imagery? The avant-garde, ahead of its time soundtrack? The secret Michelle stage? The unique general atmosphere? Or a combination of the above?
Whatever it may be, arguably a downside to this quirky gem could be the difficulty, apart from the somewhat clunky controls and scrolling. But, no more grief, as The Lemon Grass Team presents: Starship Rendezvous +6 Trainer IPS Patch! Here is what the patch will do for you:

Level

invulnerability

Girl

uncensored images
no time limit
99x of all 'items'
unlimited stamina
easier gameplay

General

FM-Pac as default music (with thanks to FRS!)
game boots in TURBO mode on Turbo R & WSX machines

How to patch

find the 1st game disk 'Starship Rendezvous (1988)(Scaptrust)(jp)(Disk 1 of 2).dsk'
(SHA1:83de15cd109f3cb3b15ac5e92c2a7e9020fcf23e)
patch Disk 1 with for example LunarIPS or other IPS tools.
end result should be SHA1:81ba46975535df420441e2d645f3c7301f640073

If you want to have the uncensored images on the FRS HDD version of Starship Rendezvous, just copy the files SMLC0.MPC, SMLC1.MPC and SMLC2.MPC from a patched disk to your hard/flash drive.

As a bonus, here are some cheats that will work in any version of the game:

Key Combinations

ESC + F2 + F4 = next level
F1 + F3 + F5 = add stamina + 'items'

No any pop-up with all my Chrome extensions, but Chrome thought it was a dangerous file for my computer ... I've just renamed the 'Unconfirmed download" file.

Strange thing, the Original disk allso has this bug.

@Meits: The scans in your website made by Lars18th seem to be the ones I made. I did some scans with the same size, same borders not right cropped, and uploaded everything. You can see it in this post. Probably, like you say in the news of your website, he just sent them to you.

The "Scans: Lars18th" in the website can lead to understand you did it. Maybe Meits would like to change that. It's a small thing. I would be happy if there were no name (or mine).

I forgot to mention, you can hold keys @ boot to:
[SELECT] -> Flip from 50Hz to 60Hz, or from 60Hz to 50Hz
[STOP] -> Do not engage Turbo on Panasonic Turbo-r / WXS

Holding both ([SELECT] and [STOP]) keys is possible...

We should add in key combinations section the F2 key that lets us to switch between PSG-FM during the game and listen all the soundtrack if it's pressed in opening screen.

I'm not shure what you mean,
I guess you want to be able to switch between PSG/Music in music mode ?

p.s.
To get in to music mode, push F2 key during intro.

I mean that in the same way some key combinations that work in any version of the game were added, maybe is a good idea to add F2 too if someone want to switch between PSG-FM during the game or listen the full soundtrack.

Hi!,

I applied the patch and my result disk was ok (b45131d705df657c086183249ab53f05dcd2004c) but in the first girl encounter, in the very last animated image in square, still there are censored images. Anything wrong? I'm not sure if I can upload a screenshot with the evidence in msx.org

There was something wrong with the IPS file,
i have created a new one, and all is working again.

Result of the patched Disk must now be SHA1:cc32714376ec8ce3a77d5d7cb9a3af734a8b51ae

Is it possible to de-activate trainer functionalities in patch and keep improved functionalities (uncensor+r800+fmpac) ? It's more addictive keeping the difficult mode and try to arrive to the end. I remember .xpc patches allow you to select patches to apply. Other solution can be to split in two patches : functionalities patch and trainer patch.

In any case, thank you very much for your work. I always think about to de-active uncesored images but checking vram after reset keep censored images in the memory pages. Now, I already know the images were "censored" on the fly
