I agree it's not too hard, but my reflexes ain't the same anymore. Anyway, I tried beating the first boss and nothing wrong happened, it just went on to the second stage.
I encountered a problem using sofarun 8 when launching sg1000 roms. The roms work perfectly and sound ok, but on some games, for example wonderboy, the fire button is also mapped to the pause button and cannot play the game without fire. On simpler games like galaga there is no problem because there is only 1 button used.
As noted here I'm trying to load and run Lilly's Saga on a 16MB RAM cartridge with no mapper, in slot 2 using Sofarun which runs under Nextor on a GR8NET in slot 1.
In the options I selected Memory Mapper and ASCII16, but after confirming SofaRUN told me it found 4096MB in slot 1-1, while the RAM cartridge mentioned was in slot 2. Slot 1-1 contained the GR8NET's RAM. Running it made the MSX hang.
Switching the GR8NET and the RAM cartridges makes almost no difference. When I select a ROM file in SofaRun, it tells me the selected mapper type (Memory mapper) and that it found the device slot: 1-0, which is the slot where the RAM cartridge starts. However, at this point I expected the row of o-'s to be filled indicating the loading process, but that doesn't happen. I immediately get the option to start or abort. Starting clears the screen and hangs the machine.
I have tried this with a 16K Konami ROM, a 128K Konami SCC ROM and Lilly's Saga. I have also tried this running SofaRun from a Sunrise CF cartridge instead of the GR8NET. The results are the same.
