what about a football game?

I am EXTREMELY happy with all the new software (almost) of every genre that is released for MSX, but ... is it possible that NO ONE has thought of making a nice FOOTBALL GAME (maybe in the style of Kick-Off or Sensible Soccer)?

That would be really cool!

what do you think?

It'´s a great idea and MSX1 really lacks new football (soccer) games.
I have an idea but still need to put it on a small proof of concept to see if the horizontal speed of camera movement will be good.

I had such an idea a few years ago, but obviously, it never went anywhere. I stopped when I began thinking about having to implement the AI that isn't utterly daft, and I still hadn't released a single real-time MSX game.

I guess it's probably because there isn't any of the usual devs who is a soccer fan (Even if I grew up in Spain, I don't think I've ever seen a soccer match beginning to end in my life for example haha). That being said, I did play a few soccer games in the Amiga years, and some of them were kind of fun, I've to admit

That is a bit strange, most MSX users are from countries like Spain, Nederlands, Brazil, Argentine, in all of them soccer is immensely popular.

It's not easy to make good AI and displays many players on MSX1. The most popular is the MSX1.

I found an football game on one of the disks I bought in Japan. It is made by KST software (don't know if it was doujin or properly released). It is a MSX2 screen 5 football game, 1 + 2 player support, PSG from 1991. Brazil の　サーカー　ゲーム in world cup. Anyone know if it was properly released or if it was a fan game? Can't find it on Tagoo or Gen MSX.

I think this is a great idea! Maybe you do not need 11 (22) Players. Look to that old game Hattrick (Icehockey) for example. I mean, you just need a good idea for the gameplay. Most important thing would be the two player modus for an good fight.

Match Day 2 for Amstrad CPC could be a goal to reach. (The MSX version is really bad)
