Yukio drew our attention to the MiniGame Compo 2008. It is a competition for 1, 2 and 4 kB games on a variety of 8-bit platforms, including MSX. At this moment only the 4k competition is still running.

Programmer Vincent van Dam (also known as joyrex from the dvik-joyrex duo) has decided to release his WIP version of a MIDI framework. The framework is an implementation of the MIDI protocol, and allows applications to create event handlers on MIDI-in events to easily create MIDI applications.
