Last weekend a large group of MSX fans, mainly from the Netherlands and Belgium, traveled to Nijmegen to visit the third annual MSX fair/user meeting in Nijmegen.

RS232 using MSX Joystick Port

Danjovic has managed to write a bitbanged serial routine which is able to transmit data to a PC at speeds of up to 19200bps. In order to accomplish this a TTL to RS232 level shifter is needed, implemented using a transistor.

Using a small program it is possible to intercept the LPRINT hook used by MSX-BASIC to direct output to the serial port.

MSX Posse have updated their website with a large amount of pictures taken on the MSX fair in Nijmegen, which was held last Saturday. The photo shoot includes pictures taken by OeiOeiVogeltje and Malz.

Today, cesco released the first version of MSX Taper, a nice utility that can be used to create, edit and manage MSX tape images (.CAS files) for use in MSX emulators.

Some days ago we reported about Kier Kracht's Nicolaasga-video from his new DVD with MSX fair videos. Since yesterday, MSX Posse has published a new video from Kier Kracht: the Dutch MSX fair in Almelo, 1991.

Cartographer only_69 has truly found a niche in the MSX scene with his maps.

Dutch MSX developers and fair regulars Deltasoft have updated their website. Their latest game Lucky Darts can now be ordered. Those who have visited the fair in Nijmegen, last weekend, have probably seen and/or played this game on the Deltasoft booth. Those who have already bought the game can download the manual from their website.

The iMsx v.2 game launcher for BlueMSX is now available. iMsx was developed by Aci, an Italian MSX user, and can be downloaded here, in the "MSX Software" menu section.
