vdpmusic is a proof of concept for playing music through the VDP. It manipulates the video noise that's audible when you connect the MSX to an old CRT television. A squarewave melody is created by alternating between bright and black background.
Screen 2 demo by Sigma Group. Released in december 1988. It contains ripped music from the Konami game Salamander.
This test uses a trick to enable VDP commands in screen 4. During vblank, a switch to SCREEN 5 is made, enabling VDP commands.
One of the first demo's created by FCS (who were also responsible for FAC demo 4 and 5)
Look at this wave!
This is a small demo effect for MSX1
It shows a fullscreen wave on an MSX1 machine.
And given the fact that it is a wave there is a small ship on top of the wave :-)
An impressive MSX1 megademo, coming as a 512k MegaROM. PSG Samples, smooth scrolls and cool effects: this demo has got it all.
Demo/intros from the late 80:s/early 90:s.
Found among some dusty MSX1/SV328 disks. Some intros backported to MSX1 from SV328.
And yes, the WC HakKers (Wallsta City Hackers) name was intended as a joke but got stuck.
I think there's some problem with one sub-menu but I didn't investigate because I got bored.
The very first Fony production.
