Does anyone know where I could find the manual for Konami Synthesizer ?

I recently obtained this cart from an auction:
http://www32.brinkster.com/blueprintmsx/MSXCollection/report.asp?which=425

I assume it is rare ?
It was the first time I've ever seen it on auction :)

This title is quite rare, especially in complete state (which is: cartridge, tape, box and manual). I don't know if there's a manual for it on the net. At least I never scanned it. It's in both English and Japanese, so I think it was supposed to be on sale outside of Japan (just like the Game Master 2, which is in 2 languages).

And when it's in auction it'll be most likely on a Japanese one.

Yup, it was a Jap auction Smile
I'll check funet for some info... hope I find something there.

Anyway, congratz on the auction. It's a really cool addition to any Konami collection.

You can ask more info from Saku Taipale, uses nick Stt1 in the forum. He has the Synthezizer complete.

Hi everyone,

Finally, someone find the Synthesizer manual scans? I'd like too much to find the scans to complete my Synthesizer repro (greetings to MSX Cartridge Shop and Xavi Sorinas repro-boxes)

Regards!!

Sure I can open other one with the same question, but It's more efficient to reuse it because it was a problem for Argon in the past, and the post didn't clear if he finally find one, because they didn't write the resolution here.

Old thread, but just in case: you can now find it at Archive.org:
https://archive.org/details/konamis-synthesizer-manual_japan...

I'm really curious about what this cart actually is... It says somewhere that it has a sampler, but looking at the manual and screenshots there are DCO:s and filters, so it's also a synth. What chip does it use for synthesis, a custom one in the cart??

From the diagrams it seems some kind of FM synth

It does not have a sound chip. It just have a DAC made with resistors (R2R)
Here you can see the PCB

Writing to an address range it can send data to the DAC. So all the "sound processing" is done by software.
