sorry Manuel and everybody else if this is a stupid question but I havent followed pretty much anything for the past 2 years or so

is the cart ever going back in stock? or is it really discontinued?

Due to semiconductors crisis it is difficult to know when I'll produce a new batch.
But I expect/hope to produce more unit in a future.

Hi all,

I'm enjoying using my MFR SCC+ SD 512K with my Sony MSX2+ F1XV, however i'm struggling to get Pointless Fighting to run which i suspect is to do with ram. The Sony has 64k ram and 128k video ram.

The game readme says it needs 128K memory mapper ram (not in the same primary slot as the game). I have flashed the game rom into the MFR using the /A16 option (as the website for the game says it needs ASCII16) and it seems to boot to the title screen and options ok, but when i start a fight the machine loads no further and just displays a black screen.

I have tried the /U option with OPFXSD (as suggested in this thread https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/software/pointless-fighit...) but that doesnt seem to help. I have tried OPFXSD version 1.23 and 1.18

Is the issue that my machine only has 64k ram, and that using A16 causes a clash with the game rom and the ram added by the MFR?

if you use /U option then the MFR's RAM is not available. If your computer was not modded to have more than 64K RAM then with /U memory is not enough
