I made a little tune...
Nice topic. I am very eager to see the content that will come.
And nice tune zPasi. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Yes, there is more to come.
Hello zPasi,
I found this older thread of yours and want to revitalize it, because I want to share and exchange my experiences with creating PSG Music on Arkos Tracker 2 with you (and others). I started to use Arkos Tracker 3 months ago and I am very happy with this tracker.
You can listen to some of my PSG tunes made with Arkos 2 here on my website.
If anybody is interested, I would like to create a tutorial "How to make PSG music with Arkos Tracker 2"...
Tutorials are a good thing. We can make a wiki entry out of it.
Sorry, bad link.
Please find nice PSG-Tunes made with Arkos 2 here!
@hamlet: I would love to do that... work in progress.
Thank you sharing, they are great. Somehow it is suprising to see how a so poor soundchip like the PSG is able to reproduce certain sounds.
I just take a very short look at Arkos2, but is there a replayer for msx to
Yes PAC, I fully agree! In fact, I was surprised as well, when I started to "play" around with Arkos Tracker II. Before using it, I made my early Music-Tracker steps with the well-known FAC-Soundtracker in combination with the Philips Music Module. Listen to some of my old-school tracks from the 90ies here.
In comparison the the "luxurious" musical abilities of the MSX AUDIO, the 3 channels of the PSG chip is a challange.
But, while creating PSG music for a game during the last weeks, I learned much about the PSG abilities and how to use them. And I must admit, that it is even a much higher motivation for me to create something audible with the limitations.
Long live the PSG!
@marcoo:
Sure there are players for MSX, have a look here:

defdanny: I really like these tunes! But be careful about using them in a game. Tunes with a long build up are less suitable for in an action game, I think.
