Let's find out whether it's an emulator issue or a game issue...
Also crashed on megaflashrom =(
I tested on megaflashrom myself. I got the v1 (no SD) and v3(?) with dual SD slots, but experienced no crash. Also tested on real roms (eeprom 32K), GR8NET and even loaded it from cassette.
Dotattack uses a CRC to check whether or not the rom is correctly flashed. If not I will tell you with a red error before starting. If it fails you flashed it incorrectly.
I can fix bugs, but I will be needing a little more detail than "it crashed". I need to know how to reproduce the problem.
If it crashes on webmsx, I am not going to debug that. Most likely it is an emulation problem. I am not going to change software for the emulator, emulators should be changed to to run the software. I have tested on webmsx though, but it had multiple changes recently.
I'll look into the [A] not working problem. I can reproduce that.
Bug found and fixed. I'll wait with releasing this fix if you have some more information about the crashes/not starting.
The crash with 1.0 is on real msx (turbo-r st) running at 60hz NTSC and occurs sporadically during gameplay both with eprom and megaflashrom without checksum errors. Demo mode running for an hour never crashed
the game must have hit a lot of NOP (badum-tssss)
carlosemandrade, could you test on the turbo-r using sofarom? Maybe it is a timing issue of the rom. I am not sure if the turbo-r runs roms in R800 or there is some trick to that.
Testing with megaflashrom but now in 50 Hz PAL, no crashes yet
SjaaQ, as you can see on openMSX, turboR's default to Z80 mode with ROM carts, for backwards compatibility.
