I painted MSX Boy with MSX1 colors.
PS: Generation MSX was wrong. The title is not ゴールドフィッシュ (Gold Fish) but ガンフィッシュ (Gun Fish)
Gold Fish in Generation MSX is about this game:
But there is also a Gun Fish in Generation MSX, so i think both titles are correct ;)
Mm, MSX Boy or not, I'm not sure you can just introduce a mascot like that. Such things usually originate from a scene in a random spontaneous way, not forced. I'd say Konami is the closest one when it comes to a mascot: a penguin or a moai.
There two versions and MSX generation has mixed them up?

Edit: Gold Fish seems to be the version from the MSX Magazine (listing?), and Gun Fish, the Takeru version.
Gold Fish looks fun, it's MSX1, and it exists. The same issue also features Sigue Sigue Sputnik comparing Home Computer = MSX with Ultraviolence. To think of it, were these robots MSX Magazine's mascots?
Edit: Gemura didn't make it as Konami's mascot despite appearing in MG1 manual.
I guess we can concur Pentaro is the defacto MSX mascot. Poll confirms ;)
Wow, this is very interesting!
Thought about that a little later indeed

MSX Boy (MSX坊や) exists almost since the start of the MSX. He is found in the MSX Magazine 03-1984 and probably in other issues.
Weird the MSX boy I painted has disappeared from this thread.
