What makes an MSX turbo R special is that it is rare and the last iteration of the MSX generation (while the MSX3 is not there).
Its main special feature is that it has a 16-bit processor (while all previous MSX's were 8-bit).
There are very few games that really use its capabilities, but it is still used by enthusiasts who still create on MSX (like making music).
From my point of view, what makes MSX really unique is not so much the machines themselves, but all the peripherals you can add to them. Especially in the field of music, the MSX has many extensions that allow you to create quality music, even on the first MSX generation.
This is not specific to the MSX turbo R.

Thanks .im in to music ,and not pcs ,what is it they can do .as m realy in to improveing tunes .amd its not just about music .as that a combination of notes .i try to find the perfect sound for each note .i use amps and grafics.i learned in 2000 the codex in all electric devices changed .and you can not creat the same sound now .as the hz is out slightly .i get amps from the 70s from japan .and it funny that thier are 1000s of old amps and speakers from japan .containers full of them .and thier cheap ..but thier is not one that made after 2000..they must of took them off them .and only left them with the new codex..i found that the new devices ..didnt change note .it was like they just ,go deeper or louder makeing you think it was changeing notes .but it was like the same note just at diernt bass and treble changes .,i heard yrs ago .that the studios would run 2 amps ,so i run 3 amps and it clear why they do it .as ever make has its own sound .and when you run it throu 2 or 3 amps you fet the 3 amps sounds blended to geather .and its worth it . I can tell the make of the amp now .by just hearing it play .when you play the same tune thro them ,one at a time and swtch .,its easy to hear the difernce ..i find sony is by far the best .and i got a couple of midi discs players .and they are amaxing .the quality the sound every think about them is amazing ..i remeber in the 90s ..thier was new tec comeing that was ,going to make what we had look stupid ..as it was that advanced and quailty .it was going to be a big step up from what we have .and its was the sony midi ..sony got presured to stop its launch .as it was just going to wipe out every othier companys bussines ..and sony had bought all the music arkives ..and was ready to supply you with the blank discs and you could by the buy the tracks from sony .only and they would only play on sony machines .every cd that you buy now .has less quality sound .than the sony copy .as sony put a program in music .that is only avilble to sony . The sony midi got shelved .and we got the crapy cd .player .that wasnt what we were promised .that was just a cheap rip of f .and a diapointment .every one went back to vinyl .the sony machines i have .are band o standards and quality and i found out later .sony make band o .the glass screens that slide across that band o have .the sony midis have tham ....sony sound is the same as runing 3 amps .because sony has not split the sound up .were as the othier makes .are all the same company useing difernt brand names .kenwood is top quality in asia ..and it was cheap crap in uk ... sorry for my writeiing .as im dyslexic its the same as stupid but its not my fault .

Thanks .any one can learn the diferance .between a good sound and bad sound .its easyer when you are young to learn the diferance .i was lucky .as my dad loved his music .and had a realy good system .so i grew up.on the good sound .were as if you have only been exsposed tl.a cheap system .then you think.thats what it should sound like .and dont realise its not very good ..i live in asia now .and they have a taste for full bass cheap.speakers and as lkjnd as it can be played .its pain full for me ..but they sit in weddings all day with it blareing .and seem to enjoy it .and the karokey i dont evan want to.start to tell ypu what goes on ..but if your ever out shoping some of the good hifi and tv stores have a room you can go in and liisten to difernt amps or tvs

Then you will get in to it .as its always been a private smokers jacket a slippers thing in uk .dads have in 20 mins of his faverite music on his own in the other room .i only listen to.music on my own .as some one talking to.your while listening ..is not what its abojt ..just bevause you have heard ot a 1000s times .doesnt mean.you dont want to listen to.it in silance again .its like if your listing to.a live speach .and some one says some think to you. and ypu.miss what twas been said .my mum was the best for that .if you were watching a movie .you had to.keep ecsplainimg why you lagfed or why did do that ..as she just couldnt keep up.with it ..ha

The best setting on any amp: Source direct. Add that with pre-loudness war uncompressed audio and listening to music becomes enjoyable / relaxing instead of tiresome.
