Neat graphics! One flaw, in my opinion, is that the bullet noise is so loud 'n dominant, that there's no way to enjoy any of the music. Shooters need noises, that's okay, but e.g. Nemesis is just way easier to whistle to.
How great would this be if this was a real MSX game .

i've not checked, but if screens are Screen 2 "compliant" i do not see any particolar limits in making it real except some flickering and eventually memory limits....
I really enjoyed the description provided on youTube :
Fish Mr Latest STG works, it is hard to imagine the old antique MSX1 to the performance of the works, performances sex is very strong and also a lot of interesting places, like a lot of places appeared STG's shadow, is really touched!
The amazing thing with that game is that the author intentionnally re-created some MSX hardware limitations for a modern PC game (background and background ennemies are tiled and scrolled 8x8 pixels, sprites are less colorfull), that's really surprising (well, and disappointing too I must say when I discovered that was not MSX!).
IIRC, Zakuro also made Manesis (Nemesis) and Tokimeki Knightmare almost 20 years ago.

I only had a very quick look and thought it was a screen 4 game and wondered why there was no smooth scroll
So it's a PC game? No MSX no fun

It really looks good and looks MSX like.
I guess this game could be build on a MSX, but you would run in to a few challenges:
- Game uses to many sprites at once. (mostly in multi color in big multi 8x8 block ships)
- Game uses (I think) to many colors (more than 16) at once
- Stars move independent of background, but also move behind it
Now these problems might be fixed, or tweaked a little to look about the same. But it seems like a nice challenge... Anyone up for it?
