Try just the inverse way : take a 544 x 480 screenshot, resize it with PAINT as 272 x 240, then double the size of the resized screenshot. In some cases, there's loss of quality!

You could also add Ease (released by Philips and bundled with the Philips NMS 8245, if I remember correctly), which is much older. It was created by Opera Soft. See e.g. here: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/opera-soft/ease/2566/
