Back in the day, I loved making music on the MSX with FAC Soundtracker and Moonblaster. Recently I discovered Renoise and revived my composing hobby.

Here are two remakes of my old tunes that can be found on MSX.org as well:

Dream House
MSX version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbQfC0Hx4FM
Remake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B-YrxefwQk

Boss Battle
MSX version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIlnBM5gtQo
Remake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0u2SDmAFmc

Hope you like'm! :)

Great tunes. Good work!

...but note that OPL4 is not dead Smile Seems like more people than me are making games with it nowadays Smile (MS2 can be used for composing, and The Retro Hacker is creating real HW)

Thanks for the compliments. I might do an arrangement at some point of other MSX music, maybe from a game or demo group. But I'll stick to Renoise now. Wink

Thanks for the Renoise tip. I thought trackers ended with ScreamTracker 3 for MS-DOS (with the exception of AdlibTracker).

Whoa... that's looooooooooong ago. I did use ST3 until somewhere in '96. After that came the ST3-inspired Impulse Tracker. All the covers I did until 2007'ish are Impulse Tracker projects. After that: reViSiT, which is inspired by Impulse Tracker, which is what I've been using since 2007. While reViSiT uses the traditional MOD-layout, it's more of a new development (it was the subject of a thesis in UK) than a continuation of ST3 and IT and has modern features.
