My parents were moving things from our old Attic from were I stored things in my early teens.
They found my MSX Computer that I used back in the day for 2 years straight!
It's still boxed and has the Power line. So far that is all I know. I'm hoping to take a drive to hold it again after so long. It is a Toshiba HX-10. I just hope all the cables and cassette tapes are found and in working condition.
If something is missing, I'll be upset, but I'll find the parts I need.
Anyhow, I wanted to share these news as I have been excited from the moment they told me it was found!
I hope it can still work on modern TV/Monitors , the LCD kind.

Welcome back BanananPie!
You will be amazed how much new periphals and software has been developed the past 32 years.
Please send some up dates as soon you get your Toshiba back to life.

The HX10 was built like a tank, you can pile 'm up and hide behind it in case of any real-life alien invasion.

The HX-10 is not that great, many needed repairs in the 80ties due to overheating. Imported from the uk and made suitable for the Netherlands. My first MSX, twice repaired. Lots of fun to work with!

Welcome BananaPie,

The HX-10 is one of my favorite MSX 1 machines, mainly because it's so easy to mod for 60Hz. Do you remember your favorite games on that machine? Did you had only tape games or also ROM/cartridges?

Welcome back.

Just pay attention to the consumption of the devices you choose.

Thanks everyone! I just hooked it up and.... It works!!!!
I still have a bunch of my old programs, the ones I had done back in the day for school.
The bad news is i kind find the cassette unit I had used back then, I guess I have to buy one because I no longer have any tape decks.
I also had cartridges, hopefully I can find them.
Anyone remember a game called bubble?
I use to play another one called Penguin I think, I can't remember the exact name.
I was going to go out to the pub later, but no way, I prefer to have a few drinks home tonight!

Yes. As close to time travel as I have seen!
