HB-F1XD mk2 - converting 110 to 230 V

Hello community.
Soon I will become the owner of the Sony HB-F1XD mk2. As the computer works on 110V, and I live in Europe, please tell me how to change the power supply to 230V in the easiest way without using an external transformer? Maybe someone was working on the topic and has some instructions? I will be grateful for the advice.

I don’t think an internal modification of the PSU is an easy thing to do at all. Afaik it would involve changing the windings on the coil which is a very precise job, and I’ve never seen anyone describe this process in detail on the forums here.

I too recommend just using an external step down converter, for the proper Japanese 100V voltage (not 110-120V). They’re easy to use and do not require permanent modifications to the computer. Only import price for a good quality one can be an obstacle, but sdsnatcher73 has them for relatively cheap since he imported a bunch of them (see hamlet’s link).

daniel683104 sold me an F1XDJ once with which he did it. He doesn't advertise that service anymore so I think it's a terrible job. I do wonder if suitable replacement transformers exist though.
