Hi folks,

I'm looking for replacement springs for the Philips NMS 8220 membrane keyboard.

(for the record, I already inspected this thread; tried to contact user RepairBas, with no luck)

Here's what it looks like:

Dimensions are roughly: 4mm (diameter) / 10mm (length w.o tail) or 11mm (length w. tail)

I envisioned buying a batch of these, selecting the 0.2mm/4mm/10mm model.

Anyone has a better idea before I jump in?

I just got my springs from glorious China, tried them ; doesn't work.
Dimensions are close, but membrane keyboard is pretty precise.

Looks like I'll need a spare (even junk) Philips NMS, to transfer original springs from it. I'll post this on the Trading & Collecting forum ; just posting info there, so that other owners don't waste time.

In Holland they're very widely available (8020 has the same keyboard).
And there's always Bas who sells loads of Philips parts.

Hi @Meits,
Yes I was looking for 80X0s; there's just no Junk/Used model yet, and I find it's a shame to break a working MSX just for parts...
On the other hand, I tried to contact @RepairBas via his profile, but wasn't aware he had a website! Thanks for this, I'll try getting in touch right now.

Hi, just a quick update on the topic; Bas' sent me new springs, and I was able to put the keyboard in full working order.

Thanks a lot to you @Meits for the contact (and to Bas of course) !
