MSX with 2x V9958

Is there something who tried this configuration?
If so, can he buld this into my MSX2 (upgraded to 7mhz and 2+)
The io ports of $9C to 9F are just copies of 98 to 9B
The digitize possibly should than connected to the second V9958
In my opinion we can use planes of 2nd V9958 as real layers.
And use 16 sprites I think.

Not as cartridge but physical build in.

What do you think?

Had anyone fornd the vdp debug register yet?

Has anyone tried to install 2 vdps V9958 in a MSX?

I remember there is a cartridge named after "Ghost" or twin VDP.
It has a v9938 or v9958 inside and it is cappable of superimpossing the internal VDP with the external VDP, so you can get what you say.
I think it never went out of Japan, IIRC.

Correct name for that device is Goblin. Not Ghost. Sorry. Smile
