Will MSX boot and work without PSG chip AY-8910? (of course with loss of specific functionality like joysticks, PSG sound and cassette in port)

Yes, it works, it was tested in a protoboard, just VDP / RAM / 32k ROM / PPI, with basic 1.0 (msx1)

Yes, tested with L.Padial EMSX (SanV3 sound card removed)
