Hello,
I am looking for info on chip V7030.
This chip is the one used in Philips 8280 to digitize analog colours to VDP colour bus format.
I did not find datasheet but I found pinout inna Chinese web. Here it is.
V7030 The pin main features are as follows: The main function of Pin Pin main function 1 VCC2 15 BIT4: Bit 4 2 DHCLK IN: input 16 BIT3: Bit 3 3 MODE CONT: controlled 17 BIT2: Bit 2 4 DLCLK IN: Input 18 BIT1: bit 1 5 SHIFT CONT: transfer control 19 GND1: to 1 6 VIDEO IN1: video input 20 C0 7 VIDEO IN2: video input 21 C1 8 VIDEO IN3: video input 22 C2 9 VCC3: power 3 23 C3 10 VREF2: reference voltage 2 24 VCC1 11 VREF1: reference 1 25 C4 12 GND3: to 3 26 C5 13 CLP.P IN: clamp pulse input 27 C6 14 GND2: ground 2 28 C7
As per the info I collected, I made an idea on how the 2 modes work:
For one mode (pin 3 to GND), 'C' pins are used to deliver color bits in the SCREEN 8 way: GGGRRRBB
For the other mode, 4 bits are used for every color component (GGGG RRRR BBBB), so pins C and BIT are used (If I am not wrong).
I had a look to the docs to digitize in Black and white, and this is all I could find out.
If I am not wrong, does this mean that this chip can be used to digitize to 12 bits?
Can an 8280 be modded to digitize to 12 bits?
I will thank if anybody can supply deeper information on this chip or maybe datasheet
regards
