As of today TriloTracker is open for anyone that wants to try (and start using) the program.

In short:
* TriloTracker is a music tracker for PSG and/or SCC.
* The minimal requirements are: MSX2, 256kB RAM, MSX-DOS2 (but a turbo-R works best).
* Both SCC and SCC+/SCC-I are supported (but only in normal SCC mode).
* Manual can be found here (wip): http://trilobyte-msx.com/TriloTracker.

At the moment it is only possible get the program by sending me a mail (click on my profile). This is to be able to send new versions and updates to make sure u are always using the lastest version. After that you are free to do with it what you like. Except we'd like u to not provide any version for download on a website/ftp etc.

Feel free to use this thread to ask questions, report bugs and/or show your progress.

Testing... Channel wise it is possible to do Konami covers... Now wait and see how far we can get 1:1...

Very curious and anxious to get started...

Huey, have you also already developed a replayer which asm programmers can use?

Ran into a few things:

Couldn't find a way to erase songdata (like F7 in Moonblaster).
Ran into a few lockups after CTRL combinations and had no clue how to get out of it.
The manual says Shift+Tab goes to previous channel. In fact that's what happens, but a block gets created at the same time.
Can't delete the contents of a block.

Hi Meits,

Thanks for the feedback:

*In the filedialog [F5] you can choose 'new song'. To start from an empty song.

*Could you provide info? What kind of CTRL combinations? Block copies? Without any info I cannot reproduce/fix it.

*Yes that is as designed.

Quote:

Can't delete the contents of a block.

*Just make a selection ([SHIFT]) and press [DEL] inside it.

Remember you can always undo and redo actions in the pattern data using [CTRL][Z] and [CTRL][X].

ALSO VERY IMPORTAND WHEN USING A JAPANESE MSX IN openMSX!!! Make sure that your keyboard binding is set to KEY binding.

Not yet. On paper I have already made some designs. But until now the tracker could still change on important parts.
If I don't get buried under bug reports in the next days I will be starting on that.

I'll emulate a sony700 to avoid key binding things and see if I still go nowhere when I press some ctrl combos. I didn't mention any because it happened a lot and therefore I imagined you'd know about it. Was emulating a turbo R.

The whole issue is unknown to me.

I ran in it again while making a tune. First wanted to finish the tune. Emulating a Sony 700 now.

Some things I want to mention:
I create a selection with SHIFT and CURSORS. If I press DEL I crash.
Transpose does not work in or outside a block. I'd love to transpose my complete tune because it's one or two octaves too high Wink
I create a selection, press CTRL C in the selection, go to another channel, press CTRL V and the program freezes.
