Hi, several years ago, Sunrise put some games on special offer; zero euro (see http://www.msx.org/news/en/sunrise-summer-update ). Back then, I tried to order PA3, but their forms would not accept my payment methods (for a zero euro game, I know). I tried several times, using different addresses in both the UK and the Netherlands (all of which I have access to) and several different payment methods (bank transfer, PayPal, cash (I have a near infinite amount of zero euro in cash)), but to no avail. I can't remember if there were any error messages or if it just failed silently, but in the end, I never received the promised email with the PA3 dsk images.

Now, the Sunrise website is offline, there's some pages left, but they don't even mention no pumpkins, so there's no way to get this software ever again, it seems.

Unless, there's someone who happens to have received these files and is now willing to upload them for others to enjoy. I think it's hardly considered piracy when a) they said they were giving it away for free and b) there's no way to ever get a legal copy anymore.

Is anyone willing to help? Or does anybody maybe have another idea where to obtain this game in downloadable format? Thanks!

I'll update this to say someone has been very kind to lend me their copy, so I've been happily slaying monsters for the last few hours/days/sleep?what's that?.

Just one weird thing, OpenMSX hangs during the intro demo, somewhere halfway during that scrolling text. It appears to go through fine when I set speed to 50%, except when I try to record. The only difference between those two situation it seems is that while not recording, the MoonSound emulation is not slowed down; the music plays slower of course, but the instruments just play regular notes, while when recording, this is corrected. So it sounds choppy, but it sounds as it should in the video. This leads me to believe the MoonSound emulation may be doing something weird there, but more testing is required. Anybody else ever noticed something similar?

The Lost World is even better than PA3, IMHO :)

Ooh, I missed that. Last I heard was that they cancelled everything: http://members.chello.nl/b.keijner1/umax/ Good to hear there's more to discover.

I think most of the stuff after 2006 was made by Peter Meulendijks himself. He even started programming machine language for that Smile With great results too!

Hm... I guess I am quite wrong with that year... I spoke with Peter several times, mostly on Oss fairs, but I forgot all the details. Anyway, it seems he made TLW and RoA (1999 version) mostly by himself. And according to that site, they picked it up again in 2005, but only for a few months. They were completely rewriting the RoA engine though.

As I recall, Peter told me that TLW was mainly based upon PA3 code. Which is a logical course of action, since the game structures were more or less the same. Smile
