Hi all,

Maybe you've seen this already. There's a person selling an unused FS-A1GT on Yahoo! Auctions. It's boxed and everything is sealed: manuals, cables, disks and the computer itself.

It's going to sell for a lot of money. The starting price was 10,000 yens, and now it's over 100,000 yens after just one day.

Ooops, you're right. The Panasonics (FS-A1WX/WSX/ST/GT) all came with that sticker over the front panel, right? Like this:

I'm curious, because the machine still has the seal over the cartridge slot. This may be an interesting question to ask in the auction. ;-)

I wouldn't be surprised if the sticker isn't there when you get it out of the box and that the user is supposed to put it on himself, if he wishes to. Similar stuff is the case for other computers (e.g. keyboard stickers for the Sony HB-G900P).

This tells me that neither of us has ever seen a brand-new MSX turbo R. :-)

Back in the days I bought several new ones, and imported them to the Netherlands!
And I can assure you the sticker was on the computer. And there was even a second sticker on the left bottom...

I also bought a new one back in the day (GT) and it didn't have the sticker on the top ridge if that is what you mean. There were some additional stickers with it though with the functions of the f-keys on it for the word processor etc.

Wow, the auction ended at 331,000 yen (2,470 euros)! Most expensive MSX ever?

Wow that is amazing that it went up that high! I guess if money was no object, it would be tempting for any MSX fan.

Wow, for that amount (331.000 yen) I have 2 Turbo-R's (one boxed and in mint condition) and a lot of additional hardware! Wink
I hope the buyer will not sell it again as I don't know if people will pay this amount again... probably it's a collector and not an user. Too bad not using it... Just be glad you didn't buy it, as you also had to pay import duties and for this amount you already can buy a Turbo-R Shocked!
