blueMSX and XBox 360 controller

Have anyone used an Xbox 360 controller with blueMSX? I am trying to configure it to use the digital pad instead of the analog one, but no success. blueMSX pad configuration detects buttons 1-6 and analog direction.

I think the pad is show to the OS as buttons 7-15. Any clue? Maybe a new version of blueMSX supporting up to 20 PC joystick buttons would solve this?

go to input editor from tools menu and click on UP with mouse, then press UP on d-pad. Same for left right down etc

I did the same for my PSX joypad which also maps the dpad as some button numbers.

weird. My windows recognizes my PSX d-pad Updownleftright as button 13, 14, 15, 16 in the game controller properties, and bluemsx does the same

I tested it to be sure and even shoulderbuttons were mappable to the directional controls., select and start, and pushing down the analog sticks works as well. Just the right analog doesnt work. so for me buttons 1 to 16 works as well as the left analog pad.

Locate the game controller properties in windows, there is a test screen there where you can see the button numbers light up if you press it. If it works there, it should work in bluemsx i think, since for me its the same.

Does it work after manually changing bluemsx.ini setting joystick.POV0isAxes=no to yes?

@hap: That did the trick! After setting joystick.POV0isAxes to yes the digital pad works like a charm. Thank you so much!

I have the same problem as Karloch...

I'm using BlueMSX 2.8.2

Is there anybody who can tell me where to find the .ini file?
(Like stated in Hap's answer > Does it work after manually changing bluemsx.ini setting joystick.POV0isAxes=no to yes?)
