But we already knew that since 1990, when SD-Snatcher was released, right? Wink

Yup, Neo-Kobe was quarantined and guarded by Metal Gears. Although I doubt Metal Gears aren't really that of a good measure against flying cars that can appear almost instantanious, but hey...

Yup, Neo-Kobe was quarantined and guarded by Metal Gears.

was it? I never read that part...

Note, I think it's better to say Snatcher is related to MG than SDS....
There's even talk about the "Metal Gear menace of late 20th century" when Gillian is first introduced to MG MK2 (at least in the Sega CD version).

It was in one of the manuals I think; Something about Neo-Kobe being an artificial island and the only passageway of it was guarded by Metal Gears. There is also some info on "Kobe Bridge" here http://snatcher100.home.att.net/snatcher/docs/A-Z.htm

And there is a picture of Metal Gears standing on the Kobe Bridge in one of the manuals, but I can't find a scan.

Also:

In Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, when the player calls George Kessler during the final battle, he mentions a rumor about Big Boss receiving cybernetic "snatcher" organs from Dr. Petrovich after losing his limbs, right ear and right eye (which was already missing in the original game) in battle. While some fans interpret this as a jab directed at Snake's Revenge, it's a reference to Kojima's previous game, Snatcher. Dr. Petrovich appears in Snatcher as the founder of the snatcher project.

the strange things is though, that petrovich dies in mg2, but he's alive in snatcher. Then again, when did a Konami character really die? Wink
