Also, I'm sure that you don't translate things like "WACHT U VOOR DE LEEUW" as "DO WAIT FOR THE LION".
The connotation is: "BEWARE OF THE LION".

@ ren: It's a pretty archaic expression by now. Weird how our language changed so much in only 30 years, right?

@ mars2000you: He doesn't care to catch anything. The only things he likes are sleeping, eating and to get cuddled or to get any attention at all. What a life.

@Philip: yes, that's most probably correct, I translated it with 'it is hopless'.
