Oh my! Eek! Eek! Crazy
I mixed up some things. Sorry. It was a crazy day yesterday to be able to release and I've mixed you up with syn.
@Syn: Apologies for the mix up. And thanks for all the feedback you have given me in the last years. The current envelope implementation is there thanks to your input.

Hi Huey et al., I am really curious and want to make my first steps with TriloTracker. So far I only made MSX (game) music with Arkos Tracker 2, and I really like working with the limitations of the AY-chip. BUT: SCC sound is quite something.

I am a bit confused on how to get TriloTracker running and which version to use.
1) inside the git.hub project is a TT.com file that seems to be rather old. what is this file for?
2) then there is a .dsk file in the releases folder with version 0.10.0b tagging.
3) and finally there seems to be the beta version 0.11.3b.

Which of these versions should I use to get started with TT?
And how can I start the program? The .dsk image file does not run when I insert it in openMSX. It has a "autoexec.bat", but this gives the error "Direct statement of file". I have found no instructions in the wiki or on the github page.
Is MSX-DOS needed?

first test, no effort put into making a song. just playing around with sounds, made a short beat.

The disk requires to be run under MSX-DOS2. So, try a turboR or add the msxdos2 extension to your machine.

Hi,
not sure this is the right place to ask, but this seems closest to Trilotracker discussion place. I'm interested in this tracker and I'm experimenting with 0.11.9 I downloaded from here:
https://github.com/cornelisser/TriloTracker/releases

At the moment I'm confused about the issue of "ticks" vs. "half-ticks". I'm basing it on documentation here:
https://github.com/cornelisser/TriloTracker/blob/master/documentation/effects.md#fxy---replay-speed

Quote:

Set the speed (values 2-63) to play the music data. The xy value sets the delay in ‘halve’ ticks to wait between each pattern row.
Due to the halve ticks, any odd speed number will alternate.F09 will play alternating 8 and 9 ticks.

It feels unintuitive to me that F09 means alternating 8 and 9 ticks. If "xy" is supposed to mean the number of half-ticks, I would expect that half a tick times 9 equals 4.5 ticks, so we should alternate 4 and 5. And besides, if it's true that F09 alternates 8 and 9 ticks, then what speed should I set if I wanted each row to last 9 ticks (without alternating)? This description feels confusing and I think a clarification here is needed.

9 tics is set by speed 18
Speed 9 is alternating 4 and 5 tics (resulting in 4,5 tics overall)

The documentation is not correct if it states: "F09 will play alternating 8 and 9 ticks"
I have updated the documentation.

P.S. I will release a newer version in the next days/weeks. With a few fixes.
