The upper side of the case is not there anymore. And indeed I don't need it for my 2+.... I never did. The previous owner did use it to repair his... all there is left is on the pictures.

Today I stumbled upon another object of interest at the attic....

Well well... one of the most wanted MSX games ever! And it still looks quite nice Smile

A pity the label has come loose

Jaws!

Not the most likely Konami cartridge to open up like this...

Yep, the real deal!

The shit hits the fan...

Attempted repair of a failed mod

Before it's put back together and put away in my storage again one last look...

It is dead.

It's always big fun to open up boxes and crates again which already were stashed away for many years. Makes me feel a little like Indiana Jones Tongue

Yeah what might be next? 99% of my collection is in perfect working order, but because I never throw any MSX stuff away these exorbitant items still remain...

Well, you might wonder if disk drives still work, if batteries haven't worn out, if screens don't have color stains... Under certain moisty circumstances they might appear... Take a break from work for a week and test the pile Smile

Is there really no way to repair that MG2 cart?

That would be nice indeed! Though I'm not worried about the storage conditions. No sign of moist... high and dry Big smile

Probably there is. As far as I know the ROM itself is dead. Could be replaced with an Eprom... even for the SCC I have replacement chip lying around. I never had the intention to repair it. Just took it home to prevent it from ending in a garbagecan.
