Did you tweak the TV or just left them at the default? That made a big difference for me. Like, in that image it looks like the characters have a dark “shadow”; on my TV it was the sharpening filter that did that, and it disappeared when I turned it down to 0.
Still, the external converter’s image looks very good, so this is good news because it means I could do what I was considering getting it for in the first place: connect my MSX to my existing monitor in stead of needing an additional one.
I have my TV setup about 6 years ago and never touched the settings since.
I'm wondering what difference it would make, cause these settings also applie to my HDMI input.
Last thing I bought was a Megaflashrom/SCC from msxcartridgeshop and before that it was a NMS8250 from Bas. Two awesome items from dito sellers!
Next up, I'll be getting some components/parts for internal RAM upgrade, 7 MHz accelerator, v9958 and such..
But that will probably not happen until autumn, my computer hobbies tend to slow down during summer due to me spending alot of time outdoors fishing and such..

I have a few arcade cabinets at home, but not an MSX version (yet).
That could be a very interesting project for the near future!
@msxfanfinland What is the switch on the “FM Sound Stereo” for? Is it for disabling the cartridge’s sound connection to the MSX so you can get a separated / cleaner separated sound output?
