In the crt version the sprites flicker to make 3 color sprites.
It's a nifty trick, and the results are really good even on my CRT monitor.
Why isn't it allowed on MSXdev?

You are invulnerable only while looping right to left and vice versa.
While spinning on side (X key or as part of the looping movement) you can be hit, but you offer a smaller surface to bullets.
and yes, 3 color sprites and normal 2 color sprites will be selectable in the option menu of the 16K version.
@sd_snatcher
I know but how many people will evaluate that entry having played it on a real HW and a CRT monitor ?
;-)
The fact is that on emulators without synchronizing the msx vblank with the pc monitor the result is quite disappointing, so I should have opened a debatement on how the game should be played in order to give scores ...
Is there no BGM in this game but only SFX??
Is there no BGM in this game but only SFX??
The original game didn't have in-game music either, and regarding the freshly released MSX(dev) version, there is only so much which you can fit in 48K.
When you have that extra 16K, on the other hand.......... you might be in for a surprise..........
Hello, I want one cartridge too
I just think some proper BGM made for SCC+PSG would help here a LOT
If this is some of the extra I would be tempted to get it
How would you feel about FM+PSG support?
IMHO, such a small, Arcade-like game is just perfect for having PSG music. It simply fits perfectly.
On top of that, I always prefer the sound of SCC as being more MSX-like than FM. Especially when dealing with smallish Arcade games FM would sound out of place to me. But that's just very personal.
Uridium 2 on Amiga does have in-game music. Not that I would recommend that particular style though.
