Tecnobytes IDE-MAPPER 512KB - new batch

Tecnobytes Classic Computers have started taking pre-orders on a new, small batch of IDE-MAPPER 512KB cartridges which, as you might expect from its name, contains a Sunrise/Nextor compatible ATA-IDE interface and a 512KB memory mapper that can optionally be turned off. The interface is compatible with all MSX computers, including MSX1. Shipping is expected to begin before the end of the year.

The ide flash module is probably too extravagant.
Compact flash is much cheaper and is more convenient as a removable media.
Zip drives can be used as well.

The Trancend IDE Flash is the most reliable media.
More read and write cycles without errors.
It's only 15 euro for the 1 GB version.
I use CF cards, ZIP-, MO drives and harddisks as well.
With a MSX IDE cartridge and the Trancend IDE Flash in combination even the fastest of them all.
