What are the best RGB -> scart cables suited for Turbo-R?

I have a cable from Retrocables in Spain and it has so far worked ok on my Turbo-R -> OSSC -> old Samsung LCD. However, I have now expanded my retro setup with a mini Hydra scart switch from Lotharek (I also have a Enterprise 128) and now I am getting some noise (vertical lines moving slowly across the screen).

I think the noise is related to my RGB cable since I do not see the same when I look at the output from my GFXV9990 where I use a VGA to Scart high quality cable (designed for Mint) from Lotharek.

Finally are there anybody here using a modern 15khz capable flatscreen for their setup? I am not sure a MSX -> Mini Hydra -> OSSC -> monitor is the most reliable setup and would like to take one potential problem out of the equation. I will be getting fewer retro machines :-)

This shop claims that their socalled "Packapunch" cables are "Ideal for large gaming setups which use one or more SCART switching boxes which can be more prone to interference".

30 pounds for a cable is a bit much for a test :-)

Not sure a 15 kHz capable monitor will produce a better image than the OSSC though… At least TV-monitor hybrids probably just let the 15 kHz signal pass through their upscaler, which is usually (always) of worse quality than the OSSC, for one thing because they’ll likely do deinterlacing. They’re very rare anyways, I think. While OSSC is a sublime piece of kit, and very future-proof if you ever want to upgrade your monitor.

So I’d rather think to fix the problem at the source. Personally I would suspect the SCART switch, because mine works just fine (the HQSS0054 / Hama 100S) switching between a Panasonic FS-A1GT and a Yamaha CX5MII, and my cables aren’t anything special (one of em is from retrocables). A simple cable shouldn’t be causing any issues unless it is badly wired methinks… Maybe the SCART switch is passing part of the signal back through the Enterprise causing the noise, and the Gfx9000 signal might just be stronger and overpower it.

But before changing any cables and such, you may want to give the 2.3) Panasonic FS-A1GT jailbar fix a go… it replaces the composite video signal with a clean csync signal as really should be output on an RGB cable (the turboR deviates because they removed the separate composite connector to make room for MIDI). Worked wonders for me, and unless you really care about your composite video signal, it does no harm and is also trivial to do and reverse.

I found the problem it was the VGA to Scart cable from Lotharek https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=171

When that is connected to the Hydra there is noise on all the lines. It works fine connected directly to the OSSC. Strange!

Any suggestions for a high quality RGB VGA to Scart cable?
