Hi there everyone!

Please excuse me if this is not the right place to post this. I checked the forum for a while and was not sure where was the exact place. Im a long time Final Fantasy collector, but really dont know anything about MSX system.

As you know a Final Fantasy game was released in 1989 for MSX2. It included a gamedisk and also a sticker you could use for your userdisk which was not included. Most of the games i've seen have a black gamedisk, however a few of them have the disk in color blue. Im talkiing about gamedisk only, not the saving one.

So i would like to know whats the reason behind it. Maybe because they are different versions? i would really appreciate if you could help me out.

Here you can check couple photos

Thanks in advance everyone :)

Hi FerranFantasy, and welcome.
I'm inclined to suspect that the black disks were just temporarily out of stock at their supplier. Smile

That would indeed be the most plausible and likely explanation...

There are two versions of the manual, as detailed here:

First edition is the one with the pink sheet. That blog also says there are supposedly some stat changes in the game itself, but he didn't test it.

So possibly the black disk is the first edition and blue is the second one. Or not oO

Thank you so much for your help guys. I guess you are right and it was only a matter of out of stock.

Very intersting stuff there dr.slump, i had no idea about this 2 editions manual. As far as i have reserched though, it had nothing to do with the blue disk.
