I did not write the 8 channel mod player. Somebody just modified the code to enable it. The source is available for anyone.

Ah great! And thx! Over the years, many 8channel MODS have been made and it's awesome to play them on my MSX
Apparently this was seen as thread hi-jacking so removed this reply. Just tried to point out there are already alternatives since you got these kind of questions. Sorry for that.
You can also use an PC and install OpenMTP, or stream music from spotify on your Raspberry PI4, thanks for the thread hijacking.
Great work all! no need for sarcasm SjaaQ, all are nice people helping each other out and having to deal with the strange times we all are in atm.
Keep up the good work on this NOP MOD Player!
Yes let it be clear, i really like this new mod player. So good to have an update on this classic
Thank you very much for this player, I am really enjoying these days trying many Mods in my msx, with very satisfactory results, I have tried 150 mods or more working perfectly, keep it up guys, thank you very much
As pointed out on previous pages we really like to have some bug reports on real hardware, instead features- or other player format requests.
Other formats as standard Protracker 2 4 channel mods will NOT be supported. Due to the fact the player include will be used in next NOP product, original music and sfx will be made in PT2 clone and it would be nice if we can iron out the bugs through this NMP v2 player.
If you want help please report bugs excluded 9xx commands, because its NOT supported.
If you found a possible bug, please report here, naming the real MSX hardware and if possible share the .mod.
Thank you for supporting NOP future products.
Oh I forgot , if you used it on real hardware we really like to hear that too, please also report OPL4 version + memory. We really want to know the average OPL2 sample memory.
I'm not much of a mod listener, but I do have a great variaty of MSX computers and OPL4 cartridges.
If you run into a suspected mod file, I can do some recordings on several setups for you.
Tested the latest build on real hardware:
FS-A1ST MSX Turbo R and DalSoRi R2.0 (4MB total sample ram, 2MB active)
Most modules sound good, i did found a module with an issue:
Azazel - Fracured.ni
At the end of pattern 3, the 'Come on' sample sounds really soft. Double checked it on MSX with RoboPlay (no hi-jack i hope ;-)) and on PC using BassoonTracker and there it sounds way louder.
Next to this i had one time a frozen black screen after hitting ESC to go back to DOS after playing a number of MODS from a large directory. This did until now not reproduce however.
