I just noticed the NMS8220 uses a similar setup and also is clocked slightly slower.
It would be a nice 'nerdy feature' for an emulator to get this small detail right because both VDP and CPU run a bit slower, but I haven't noticed it the last 30+ years, so it is not a big deal for me.
