Does anyone know if it is normal that it takes almost 5 minutes before the ram looses its information after turning of the system ,there is no point for reset because the left over memory state crashes the msx ,this makes using it as a mapper to load roms super annoying, maybe the capacitor on the pcb is the problem and should be switchable

is it a real SCC+ because inside is DRAM and it normally does not store data ?
try removing the cartridge and reinserting it for faster discharge

Yes a real snatcher sound cardridge i expanded the dram to 128kb and load rom image into it with loadrom, even removing it for a short time does not help ,after placing it back and powering the msx it freezes because there is leftover data from the image

You can try removing the AB header from the ROM data and start the game without reset (using the start address in the header). It is normal for RAM to retain the data, same happens with RAM in your MSX when loading (smaller) ROM games.

I’m using romload the programmer bifi should have noticed this problem , yes some roms do this but its solved with a few seconds of power down not a few minutes of waiting ,i’m used to loading cracked roms from disk until the disk gone bad for most part

I have the same cart too. Based on the SD Snatcher cartridge. Losing data if powered off for a very short time.

Then why does mine unload so slow ,is it a different component on the pcb between sd snatcher and snatcher , i got the sd snatcher cardridge to but it has to be upgraded so its not going to be tested so fast
