I've received the lootbox today and thought it might be handy to start a thread so we have a central location of where the lootbox it and who will be the next one to receive it. And if one want, you can tell about your experience with the lootbox and let people know what you take out / what you add (if you want to...)
Anway... I've taken out a mouse and added a Japanese Disk Magazine:

OK, Meits has opted out, so I have repacked the lootbox and it's ready to ship to sdsnatcher73. I'll be bringing it to the post office this weekend. I've also added another small goodie besides the Disk Magazine:

It's a nice Covid19-style USB stick filled with some MSX & Fony goodies. After sdsnatcher73 the lootbox will go to:

I finally had time to open up the lootbox. Nice stuff inside. The NoWind intrigues me but it seems to be dead. Did anyone who had the lootbox before me had any luck with it?? What I've tried sofar:

Boot the MSX with F pushed (should bring up the firmware flasher but it does not).
Boot the MSX with the special flasher disk. The NoWind is recognized and after pressing F I end up in the Nowind Flash Writer (Disk Version) v3.0. If I try to send the nowind.rom with nwhostapp -f nowind.rom (tried it on MacOS 11.1 and Windows 10) again the Nowind is detected and it starts flashing using chip-erase but nothing seems to happen (The dotted line on the MSX does not show e, E or w as it should according to the manual.

Does it get hot as dan experienced? That be no good. But you know quite a good repairman. I bet he'll find the hot component and replace it with a cool onw

No I suspect it is the flash chip then that has died because the interface chip seems to work but actual flashing does not work. I will see if Jan can help out or otherwise I will have Omega have a look indeed, it would be a pitty if a beautiful piece of hardware like this. One problem will be the cartridge case (it is the one from Manuel Pazos and opening it breaks the case IIRC. It will probably fit in an another case as well but then there is no beautiful label

FYI: it is possible to open without breaking a case but you have to be very accurate and patient. You do this by applying some force at the bottom, near the flat hole for a PCB, first at one side then at another, etc, with a flat screwdriver, slowly increasing until it starts splitting. Then accurately widen the gap trying to not break plastic "pillars" (you'll see those through gap, it is used instead of screws in this type of case to fasten sides). I did this once. If you are super-lucky you can also keep the label almost intact but you make more risk for the plastic case then, so maybe it it better to not save the label but save plastic. Also - the case is not compatible with Konami/Overrich cases because PCB holes location is a little bit off (yes i tried once after opening my MFR to put it in Overrich case but it was not possible, so i was lucky i opened it without breaking and then put it right back in original case)
