GMC #5 - Illusion City by Destroy the Core!

With the Game Music Cover Challenge entering its last month, it's great to see contributions from people that not usually participate in music challenges. One of these people is MsxKun from Spain. Under the name "Destroy the Core!" he released a synth heavy cover of Micro Cabin's classic Illusion City.

This "Destroy Remix" of the intro tune was created using a bunch of VSTi's with some help from a Korg MS-20 mini, a little bit of Moog and MSX PSGs and sweetened up with some Korg Monotron Delay. For the drums, samples were used, as were for some of the vocoder voices. All in all it makes for a really interesting remix and a different take on one of the most covered songs from Illusion City!

It is. It's how I sign my crappy tunes :P But they know it's me and decided to put my nick instead.
Btw... voices are not vocoder, they're just Text-to-Speech.

This is pleasantly different arrangement and very hypnotic track overall to sit back and let your mind wander through the vast cosmos. If I ever would smoke a joint, this would be my track of choice.
