Last year's edition of the ongoing MSXdev contest, the MSX scene got a special treat; to be exact, it was S.O.L.O, which was an interesting sci-fi puzzle platformer that achieved a honourful second ranking. Today, we're happy to inform you that its creator has come forward with another fresh adventure.

During the run of MSXdev21, Spanish retro-developer Roolandoo took us on a trip through a very futuristic setting. This edition of MSXdev, all odds are off, and the tables are turned, as he now invites us to go medieval. And with that, we mean, truly, madly, deeply medieval, as this thrilling new title is practically guaranteed to make your brain melt while your fingers bleed...

We'd like to play like this forever, until the goat falls into the sea. Dear MSX fans, behold, as Bufonada enters the stage. Roolandoo's latest creation seems to be yet another adventure that will surely get you on the edge of your seat. As a jester, aided by your spirit animal, you will do whatever you have to do to save the kingdom of Kimeria from the dark spell that has been cast upon it.

I haven't got past the second room yet, but this looks very very promising!

@santiontanon I started counting from the Cage, so 2nd screen for me is the one with the deadly hole in the bridge.

Hello friends,
I would just like to comment that this version of MSX is not an old-style port.
I have tried to take advantage of the capabilities of the machine and therefore almost had to redo the game from scratch to incorporate hardware sprites, smoother movements, new animations, more colors, new sound effects and more additions.

I hope you like it.

Greetings.

Good job! Seems an original concept and I like the little animated details in the levels.

I have noticed this in a Youtube video from Saberman and as I just have my MSX computer set up have given it a try yesterday. I have managed to complete just a couple of screens so far but must admit that it looks very good and the music is really excellent. I can hardly believe that this is the standard AY-3-8910 sound chip. Big Kudos !
