The MSX shop Repro Factory released the game Joust on cartridge. Joust is a classic arcade game from the early 80's which has recently been ported to MSX. The cartridge has a sound chip extension, offering enhanced music and sound effects replay. Pre-ordering of the game has started.

Back in 1982, Williams Electronics released Joust as an arcade game which soon found its way to home computers and consoles like Nintendo, Atari and the likes. It features a one and two player mode. The game has been ported to MSX recently, by a collaboration of several MSX-minded individuals, initiated by Eric Boez.

The MSX version comes in a boxed cartridge with an additional sound chip to enhance the audio experience. The embedded SN76489 enables the game to keep all original game sound effects while using the MSX PSG to play tunes at the same time. The game works on any MSX computer with at least 64K of RAM.

You can pre-order the game cartridge now. All 25 first buyers will have the game with a beautiful clear blue cartridge case. Price of the game is €34 + shipping. To pre-order, send an e-mail to MRC user Ericb59 or leave a message at the Joust forum topic. The game will be available soon on http://www.repro-factory.com

YouTube has a video of the MSX port in action.

So now MSX finally has the game from which begins the adventure in the "Ready Player One" book (written by Ernest Cline).

I think this book is a must read for any 8-bit gaming fan.
And, of course, the Wreck It Ralph movie - by the way, it also has Joust references.

So Steven Spielberg is the director of the movie, and it's going to be released on 29/03/2018.

I need help in finding references between this book/movie and MSX, in addition to the obvious Pacman and now also Joust.
E.g.which MSX games have "READY PLAYER ONE" appearing on the screen in 2 player mode?
