Today, Ro has released a binary version of the SCC tracker SCC Musixx that is now available from our MSX downloads corner. The availability of separate binary versions of both the tracker and the instrument editor should make the utility a lot more attractive to chiptune composers.

Hi Ro,

I remember that I used scc-musixx about 2 years ago,
the tracker was not really nice to work with now.
Could you tell me what has changes so far.

Norakomi: no changes were made to the program itself (which wasn't coded by Ro, btw)

hmmmhmhoa.. I can think of two major things lacking:
- full PSG support
- advanced instruments

The PSG is obvious, the advanced instrument would mean something like: a definition of an instrument with volume/pitch envelopes, LFO, automatic waveform changing, etc. Otherwise one has to type all those details all over the place, a tedious job.

Well, it is called SCC-Musixx and not SCC/PSG-Musixx, isn't it? Smile

BTW, don't take my reaction too serious, as I agree with you for 100% regading the instrument definition and the way editor works. I did make some music in Protracker as I could work with that without any problems, but I never got the hang of SCC-Musixx, so Wink
