MSX Nijmegen 2017 - reminder | MSX Resource Center

On Saturday the 21st of January, the annual Dutch MSX fair will be held in a new location. 2017's fair will be held in the big room (0.12, zone 2) of Wijkcentrum (community centre) Dukenburg in Nijmegen. Doors open at 10am and close at 5pm, but you can come earlier to help setting up the room!

There is already quite an interesting list of booths, as currently shown on the fair website:

openMSX Team: Demonstration of the current development version of openMSX, all Laserdisc games, the latest developments and the debugger GUI. Also we'll be showing openMSX running on several devices, like Android devices and the GCW Zero.
SymbiosiS: Demonstrations of SymbOS (Final! 3.0 release + multi Z80 platform network games + symIRC) and Quigs (Developer suite for SymbOS applications).
Bitwise: Demonstration and sales of MSX games.
HCC!MSXig: Demonstration and explanation of MSX and peripherals.
Bas & Ditta: Repairs, expansions, cables, parts, buy and sale of second hand MSX hardware. Also a demo of Pink Sox on Laserdisc.
Richard & Raymond: Sale MSX hardware & software and perhaps a demo of a game in development.
MSX Club West-Friesland: Promotion of MSX by buying and selling books, magazines, software and hardware.
RBSC (Russian Bear Service Crew): Showing hardware made by RBSC (Russian Bear Service Crew) - FDD/IDE controller, Carnivore1 and Carnivore2 cartridges, FMPAC/F4 board, new Yamaha video board, Yamaha 1MB RAM expansion board, clone of SFG module. Orders will be taken for the production of the boards for these devices. Yamaha MSX2+ computer and some other MSX hardware will be sold. Caslink3 will be demonstrated if requested.
Hamlet: Posters and cards of MSX machines.
MSX Vriendenclub Mariënberg: Promotion of MSX Vriendenclub Mariënberg.
Louthrax: Demo of SofaSet and the latest version of SofaRun.
The New Image: Demonstration of several MSX programs.
WORP3: Demonstration and sale of the new MIDI-PAC v2 and presentation of progress on the Orbit project.
Nowind:C++17 for MSX!
Imanok/Trilobyte MSX: Demonstration of Tina's Adventure Island and TriloTracker.

Don't forget to be there! And don't forget to come to the right location! :)

Maybe it's useful to link to the original post and mention what this is about in the article.
Now the article says to come to the right location, but doesn't say what the right location is.

I hope to make it over to this event from London, although i'm not 100% sure I can, due to lack of money. I hope to combine it with a fact finding trip to Germany. I've been seriously affected by the housing crisis in Britain. I decided to leave before the EU Referendum, but the result made me even more determined to leave. If I'm there I'll be speaking Dutch and German, but trying to avoid speaking English.

Most people think that drugs are legal in the Netherlands. Actually, they're illegal, but tolerated so long as people only take them in certain places or at home. There are lots of things like that. Years ago, I went to a club in London where there was a sign saying people weren't allowed to dance on Sundays due to enforcement of a law dated about 1760. I think people are supposed to keep quiet at home on Sundays in Germany, otherwise the Police will visit them. It's also a big crime to have a barbecue on a balcony in Germany if it takes place more than a few times per year. I also heard that people who witness a fight in France are legally required to try and break it up, otherwise they could be arrested. I think someone might ask me to do something illegal for them while I'm walking along the street, or hanging around before or after the meeting. I can't afford to book a room to stay overnight, unless someone tells me about a very, very cheap room or hostel.

It seems that I now will be coming to this event after all. I hope nothing happens to prevent me getting there. I'd like to go to the restaurant afterwards, so I hope it's not already full up. As for what people could do on the stage, here's an idea from me. You know I'm a musician. I also sing. I've made an album of my music, some of which I originally composed on my original Yamaha CX5M. I have got two versions of this album, one version without vocals, which I can use as backing music so I can sing live. Is it OK for me to sing on stage at this event? I know I should send you an email about this, but I'm very tired now, so I'll send you the emails about this and the restaurant list later on after a good night's sleep!

Hi CX5Mer. There are a lot of things illegal in NL. Mostly the same as in the UK. If you're coming by car, be sure not to use your phone when driving. It can cost you a lot of money. (By the way, you probably need full attention driving on the 'wrong' side of the road in NL.) And, especially in Nijmegen, don't go faster than the speed limit, even though you feel like driving ridicilously slow. There are cameras everywhere.
