Introduced last year, Multiple IPS Archive (MIA for short) is a file format by BiFi, created to apply IPS files on disks that may have the files on different locations (sectors) of a disk. To create and apply these MIA files, one has to make use of the Multi IPS Archive tools.

More recently, the format has received slight updates and additions. Compared to the original release, version 1.1 now has:

  • a disk switch feature, allowing application of patches on multi-disk file-based software. MIAPPLY now waits for a key press after asking the user to insert certain disk
  • a rename feature, mainly intended to change non-hardcoded filenames that are part of (for example) a translation.

New versions of the MIA tool were made available to reflect these changes. More information about the changes to the format can be found in "mia-create.zip", the package to create a MIA file using tniASM v1.0

No need to attack me for this. BiFi has the IPS Patch Archive and I have his permission to offer the .ips and .mia files on CheatMSX. The submitted info is retrieved from the description, of which this was unknown.
A thing I also wonder about is that you compare 2 files with different extensions, you refer to a .ips file, while the file I have is a .mia file. Here is the ORIGINAL SOURCE where the .mia file was retrieved!

Sorry if you feel attacked by my post, that was not my intention !.
i just wanted to name the Original creators of the Starship Rendezvous +6 Trainer IPS patch.
The IPS patch is freeware as long you mention the Original creators.

@BiFi... great job on creating a new patch system.
