Italo challenge - results

On September 12, 2006, we started the Italo challenge - a challenge in which you were invited to create genuine Italo music on your (emulated) MSX, using your preferred MSX soundchip. Although the deadline has been extended twice, not many composers have entered this challenge. The ones that did, though, delivered songs that are really worth listening! The results might have been a long wait, but they're finally here. The jury, consisting of Wolf_ and Poke-1,170, judged as follows:

Of course there's no challenge without an award. As was the case with Poke's earlier Airwaves challenge, the top 3 will be featured on Enschede FM on Monday, August 6th, 2007. In addition, the first prize will be awarded with an MSX T-shirt!

MRC crew: LZH files are now served with mimetype "application/octet-stream". If you would change that into "application/x-lha", web browsers other than IE would know it is an LZH/LHA archive and what program to pass it to.

MP3's will most probably be added later on, as they still need to be created (and we didn't want to postpone the publishing of the results any more). About the LZH-stuff: I'm too alpha for that, maybe another admin understands what you're talking about WinkTongue

Aww drats, Robert won again! I think we should ban both him and Wolf_ from MRC participation because they keep on winning Tongue

And for the curious people, you can get the first 2 songs mentioned above from Team Bomba's special Italo page: http://www.teambomba.net/italo.html. Also, don't forget to check out Yum's arrangement of his song made with Reason.

You got 2nd place in that ROM compo @ some Zandvoort. And iirc you've won some Japanese lamp or something, prolly for the Underwater challenge orso.

Wow, that ROM combo really was years ago. in 1994 or 1995 or something. How did you guys know that! And about that lamp. Yes, I am very proud about the lamp Wink . It has a very prominent place in my computer room. I always hit my head on it because that friggin thing is so big!
